Robinhood Teams Up With Crypto.com and OG.com to Expand Access to Prediction Markets Ahead of A Busy Fall

Robinhood is doubling down on its prediction markets business with a strategic partnership aimed at capturing the excitement of the upcoming sports and political seasons. Starting September 8, the brokerage will begin routing select football event contracts to Crypto.com and its trader focused platform, OG.com. This move expands Robinhood’s ecosystem of regulated exchanges and clearinghouses, ensuring that users have access to deeper liquidity and a more resilient marketplace as they bet on everything from pro football game outcomes to specific player performances.

The deal goes beyond simple technical integration, involving significant financial ties between the firms. Robinhood Markets will hold equity stakes in both Crypto.com and OG.com, with valuations aligned with recent investments placing Crypto.com Group at approximately 20 billion dollars. According to executives from both companies, the goal is to establish OG.com as a global leader for innovative derivative instruments, eventually moving past prediction markets into futures and perpetuals while providing Robinhood users with a seamless trading experience during peak volatility periods.

This expansion comes at a time of explosive growth for Robinhood’s event contracts, which CEO Vlad Tenev has described as the fastest growing business in the company’s history. After seeing billions of contracts traded during events like the World Cup, the platform is preparing for a busy autumn by redesigning its college and pro football hubs with improved live data and filtering tools. By diversifying where it routes contracts across partners like Kalshi and Rothera alongside this new agreement, Robinhood aims to maintain stability despite massive surges in user volume.

Beyond the gridiron, Robinhood is gearing up for the midterms with a comprehensive election hub designed to turn market sentiment into actionable information. The platform plans to introduce interactive heat maps and near real time voting data to give investors a window into candidates’ standings at both state and federal levels before official calls are made. Following a year where crowds accurately anticipated presidential results early on, Robinhood believes these predictive tools have entered a supercycle that blends traditional investing with real world forecasting.
